Saluting Heroes

The CrossFit Community around the world honors Heroes who have given their lives in the line of duty by completing Hero WODs (workouts) in their honor. These WODs are generally done during special occasions, like Memorial Day, Veteran's Day, and Independence Day. The purpose of these workouts is to remind us to think outside of ourselves and pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

 

"Murph" is one of the most famous CrossFit Hero Wods. Named after Lt. Michael Murphy, each Memorial Day, CrossFit Boxes around the world perform this workout in his honor. The workout is similar to Murphy's favorite workout, which he named "Body Armor."
